Covid Update on May 5, 2020:

Texas governor Greg Abbot has issued an executive order enabling the resumption of gymnasium / exercise facility related businesses.  Ahn’s Tae Kwon Do will reopen on June 1, 2020.  As changes to the executive order can occur at any time, please continue to check this web page on a regular basis for potential updates to Ahn’s Tae Kwon schedule and / or policies.

Ahn’s Tae Kwon Do asks that you adhere to the following guidance in order to help ensure the safety of all students and all student family members.

All common surfaces will be cleaned on a daily basis.

Consistent with prior policy, if your child has a fever or is otherwise ill, do not bring your child to class.  Likewise, if a member in your child’s household is ill, do no bring your child to class.

Class activities will be adjusted to enable students to maintain safe distancing from one another.  However, Ahn’s Tae Kwon Do cannot control all movements of all children at all times.  Safe distancing can only be maintained by the combined efforts of every single child in a given class.  Do not bring your child to class if you are uncomfortable with the realities of children in a group setting.

It is not possible to maintain any sort of distancing between participants of a sparring match.  Therefore, until further notice, sparring  is not a required activity.  If you do not want your child to participate in sparring, you might decide to not bring your child to class on scheduled sparring days as sparring consumes a fair potion of class time.

If you have social distancing concerns but would still like your child to resume martial arts training, you might consider private lessons.  Consistent with prior policy, private lessons involve an additional fee and there is a limited number of available time slots per week.  If you are interested, please contact Master Ahn directly to discuss private lessons.
